Vito Difina to appear in court after father Giuseppe's death

A 40-year-old man will appear at Nottingham Crown Court today charged in connection with his father's death.

Vito Difina, 40, of Cavendish Road, Carlton, is charged with grievous bodily harm.

It relates to an incident where police were called to a house in Cliff Road, Carlton, on September 10.

His father, Giuseppe Difina, 68, was taken to hospital but died on September 13.

The opening of an inquest into his death heard that the interim cause of death was stab wounds to the chest and abdomen. Vito Difina is expected to enter his plea at today's hearing.
